How many of us are affected by weather changes? I certainly am! Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE every season and look forward to each transition throughout the year. The excitement I feel with the first snowfall is ridiculous, to the extreme.  I just can’t help but go outside and stick my tongue out to catch a snowflake. By the end of winter, I wait with anticipation for the first crocus to pop their colorful blooms out of the ground heralding the soon to come spring weather. I have to remind myself that it is too soon to plant flowers!

There’s something about Spring weather that brings on the need to get outside and enjoy the warm sun and putter around in the yard. Just today on my lunch break I listened to lawnmowers at my office freshen up the landscape. I had that feeling of, “Why am I here at work; when I should be home making my yard pretty?”

When Summer approaches I instantly kick into summer break mode….after having to keep kids busy for so many years it’s only natural to think I should have every summer off, right? It’s the time to pull out the softball glove, go hiking, camping and have evening bonfires.....with marshmallows...of course.

But…my favorite time of year has got to be the Fall season. The days are still warm and the evenings are slightly crisp. The scenery turns into a riot of color and senses. It just feels like the earth slows down to a leisurely pace and says, “Hey, take the time to enjoy what’s around you”. Nothing like a cozy fire, good books and friends; those last days of BBQ’s and forest wanderings. Maybe one more mow on the lawn, just to make sure.

Thank goodness for variety. There’s something out there for each and everyone one of us to enjoy. I’d say the Big Guy knew what he was doing….
